How Nustall Works
A short guide for shoppers and makers, and why we take nothing from your sales.
No commission. Ever.
Nustall takes no cut of any sale.
Every purchase is arranged directly between the maker and the buyer.
The maker keeps 100% of what they charge, and nothing is added to the price for us.
What Nustall is
Nustall is a discovery marketplace for handmade and made-to-order work from independent makers across India.
There is no shopping cart and no checkout. Nustall works like a market rather than a shop: you browse the stalls, and when something catches your eye you talk to the maker directly. They agree the details with you, and you settle up between yourselves.
For shoppers
- Find something you likeBrowse the categories or search. Each product shows the piece, its price in rupees and the stall that makes it. Tap the stall name to see everything else that maker offers.
- Tap Live ChatThis opens a conversation with the maker about that exact piece, so they always know what you are asking about.
- Agree the detailsAsk anything — size, colours, materials, how long it will take, whether they can customise it. Settle the final price including delivery, and how you will pay.
- Pay the maker directlyPayment happens between you and the maker, by whatever method you both agree. Nustall is not involved and takes nothing.
Tap the heart on any product to save it to your wishlist for later.
For makers
- Open your stallChoose Sign in, then tick I want to open a stall when you register. Pick your stall name as it becomes your storefront.
- Set it upAdd your stall logo, a banner and a short description of what you make. This is what shoppers see at the top of your storefront.
- List your workFrom your Stall Manager, add a product with a clear title, an honest description, your price and a category. Up to three photos each: square (1:1) works best — anything wider is centre-cropped.
- Reply and sellShoppers message you about a piece. Agree the price, any customisation, payment and delivery. Whatever you charge is yours in full.
Messages, and why you will not miss one
Everything runs through Live Chat, tied to the product being discussed. You do not have to sit watching the site:
- Makers get an email the moment a shopper starts a chat about one of their pieces, with a link that opens straight to that conversation in the Stall Manager.
- If you are away from Nustall and a message goes unread, you are emailed about it, so a reply that arrives while you are asleep or at work still reaches you.
- Messages you have already read while on the site do not trigger an email, so your inbox is not flooded during a live back-and-forth.
Notifications are sent by email, so make sure the address on your account is one you actually read, and check your spam folder the first time.
Keeping the conversation inside Nustall matters for another reason: it is what lets a shopper leave a review afterwards, and it gives you both a record of what was agreed.
Reviews
A shopper can only review a piece after they have messaged the maker about it. That is deliberate — every review comes from someone who actually spoke to the maker, so the ratings are worth trusting and worth earning.
Agree the terms before money changes hands.
Because Nustall holds no money, there is no escrow and no platform refund process. That is what keeps prices honest and makers paid in full, but it means the agreement is yours. Settle the price, the timeline, and what happens if something arrives damaged, in the chat, before paying. It protects both sides equally.
House rules
- Makers list only what they make or genuinely sell — no counterfeits or branded replicas.
- Nothing prohibited.
- Contact details stay out of public listings. Once you are in a chat you can share a phone number or Instagram freely.
- Be honest about timelines. Made-to-order takes as long as it takes.
